There's a fantastic recent BBC show called Detectorists with a very similar theme. There are 3 short seasons, very well done, very good-spirited.
Oh, and as a longtime country music fan I also enjoyed the Johnny Lee reference. Better to look for a love like Jesus's than to look in all the wrong places!
